Robert "Bobby" Lester Tuning III, of Springfield, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 3, 2015. Bobby was born on October 9, 1949, the son of the late Floyd Alfred and Betty Jean (Sample) Davis. Bobby proudly served our country in the Army from 1970-1974. After serving our country he worked for many years as an iron worker. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Robert is survived by his brothers and sisters: Dick Davis of East Peoria, Connie (Vern) Keys of Ohio, Janice (Fred) Cawley of Springfield, Phyllis Flowers of Springfield, Linda (Tom) Drone of Florida, Sherry Davis of Springfield, Eldon (Barb) Davis of Middletown, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Allen Davis, and his son Ricky Tuning.
In accordance to Bobby's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date.
