Roger Workman Miller

Roger Workman Miller, 84 of Springfield died at 3:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1919 in Waverly, son of Herman F. and Bertha Workman Miller. He married Rita Moore; she preceded him in death on December 19, 1986. He was employed as a Warehouse Supervisor for Holmes-Serum Company and also had been employed at Security Federal as a meeting coordinator for various functions. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving WWII. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Lois Germann and Edith Seals and three brothers: Allen, Joy and Jim Miller. Surviving are two daughter: Susan (husband, Robert) Henson and Dana Miller both of Springfield, one son: Patrick Miller of Springfield, one brother: Raymond (wife, JoAnn) Miller of San Diego, CA, two sisters: Eileen Colburn of Springfield and Rita M. Koke of Loami, three grandsons and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2003. Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Stan Summer officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors. The family of Roger W.
