Ronald N. Dean

He was born on January 1, 1937, in Magnolia, Illinois, the son of Helen LaGrow Schlosser and Gaylord Dean. Ron married Margaret A. Trevor on December 24, 1960. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2018.

Ron graduated from Illinois State University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Ron went on to work at the U.S. Department of Labor in the Wage and Hour Division. He retired from there as the Deputy Regional Administrator on January 3, 1995. Ron enjoyed woodworking, running, riding his bike, and spending time with friends and family. He was a Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching Illinois Basketball and the Chicago Bulls. Ron was a proud cat owner and loved his current cat, Sydney.

Ron is survived by his children, Lynn (Brian) Kerber of Sherman and Mark (Mary) Dean of Chesterfield, MO; grandchildren, Ashla (John) Baermann and John and Audrey Dean; and great-grandchildren, Kari Kerber and Kaiden Baermann.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
