Rose P Irwin

Rose P. Irwin, 96, of Girard, formerly of Springfield, passed away at Pleasant Hill Village on Friday, July 10, 2015. Rose was born on February 27, 1919, in Pana, IL, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Marie (Roland) Schneider. Rose married Cloyde “Kelsie” Irwin on October 31, 1953. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Barbara (husband Tom) Fuller, grandson Tommy Fuller, granddaughter Terri Fuller, and her sister Helen (husband Robert) Schneider Nemeth.

Rose loved family gatherings; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed tending her flowers and her yard, and cooking.

Rose is survived by her son Bob (wife Sandy) Young, her grandson Brad (wife Sarah) Young, all of Springfield, 4 great grandchildren, and several cousins.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West. A private service will be held at a later date.

Those who wish may leave memorials in Rose’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association.
