Rose Vespa, 88, of Springfield, died at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Rose was born March 19, 1915, in Springfield, the daughter of Vincent and Marguerite Intinerelli Vespa. Rose was employed by Sangamo Electric. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Clara H. Harris, Hilda J. Vespa and five brothers: Mario, Fred, Michael, George and Joseph Vespa. She is survived by two sisters: Jane Skadden of Springfield, Geraldine Vespa of Sebastian, FL; one brother: Edward H. (wife, Betty) Vespa of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Private family services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Msgr. Kevin Vann officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut, Springfield, IL 62704.
