Ruth was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 7 sisters; father, Irvin Navarre Kirby and mother Sammie Pearl Byerly Kirby; a son, Hugh Gene Brady, III and by grandchildren, Hugh Gene Brady IV and James Adam Brady.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Hugh Gene Brady, Jr.; daughter, Margaret Ann “Peg” Bartnick (husband, Steve); granddaughters, Michelle Lynne Squires (husband, Phillip) and Patti McRae (husband, Brent) and great grandchildren Jared and Mariah Squires.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Fort Myers and a former member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church of Springfield.
The family will receive friends Wednesday July 23, 2014 from 5 to 7:00 PM at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday July 24, 2014 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Julia Melgreen officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Kenney. (www.boardman-smith.net).
