Ruth Ann Neuhoff

She was born on April 8, 1944, in Kane, IL, the daughter of Roy H. and Georgette (Elmore) Scoggins. She married John E. Neuhoff in Springfield, IL, on March 6, 1965. He preceded her in death.

Ruth graduated from Jerseyville High School. She was a very hard worker. Upon graduating, she worked briefly with the FBI. Ruth was also the owner of Neuhoff Heating and Air Conditioning. She additionally retired from Security Federal Bank after 40 years. Ruth was a member of VFW Auxiliary and AARP. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and listening to old country and rock & roll.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; two brothers, Robert Scoggins and Roy W. Scoggins; sister-in-law, Jeris Scoggins; and beloved dog, Coco.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Rhonda Plummer) Neuhoff, Sr. of Jerseyville, originally of Springfield; grandchildren, Mike Neuhoff and Ricky Neuhoff; sister, Roberta M. Nardin of Mt. Olive; sister-in-law, Roma Scoggins; dear friend and sister-in-law, Karen (Neuhoff) Collier; beloved cat, Ivy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, with Celebrant Judy Woerner.
