Ruth Payne

Born in Springfield, IL. September 29, 1925 the daughter of Walter and Mattie Pathel Winesburg. She married Charles "Ray" Kline and later Ross Payne. They both preceded her in death. Ruth retired from Franklin Life Insurance Co. where she served as a Key Punch Operator for several years.

She was well known in Springfield and the surrounding area as "Ruthie Who". She was a very accomplished pianist and played with the "Kitchen Band" and would fill in at the Aloha. She was a member of the Eagles Club and the Southern View Chapel.

Surviving are her daughters; Beverly Jo Moore of Beardstown, IL and Suzanne Webb of Springfield. She has 5 grandchildren; Suzanne (Kraig) Prather of Rushville, IL, Sherry (David) Wells of Beardstown, IL., Gary R. (Nichole) Webb of Virginia, IL., Gregory Ryan (Lewana) Webb of Crossville, TN, and Stacy Webb of Springfield, also 7 great grandchildren, her brother Walter (Emily) Winesburg of Nashville, TN and her sister, Lois (Paul) Langan of Marion, IL.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory. Private family services will be held.
