Sabina Roberta Hughes

Sabina Hughes, 64, of Springfield, passed away at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Sabina was born November 9, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Mary Ann (Noah) Keel. She married Michael Hughes on March 17, 1984 in Springfield; he preceded her in death. Sabina graduated from Ursuline Academy. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and also ran a daycare from her home. Sabina was known for being a "full-time Grandma." In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, and sewing. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Roy and John Keel. She is survived by her son, Robert Foster, of Springfield; her daughter, Paula (husband, Robert) Clark of Springfield; five grandchildren, Michelle (husband, Brandon) Keefer of Springfield, Robert (wife, Barb)Foster of Athens, Kelsey (husband, Matt) Carrol of Springfield, Jackie Foster of Springfield, and Jessica Brown of Springfield; one sister, Mary Garlin, of Springfield; four great-grandchildren, Meara, Gabriel, Natalie, and Aunica; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following visitation. Memorial Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev.
