She was born in Springfield, September 6, 1950 the daughter of Alexander E. and Dorothy (Meier) Lawson. Her parents and a brother, David preceded her in death.
Sandra was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church LCMS. She was proud of her 35 plus years of service to Goodwill Industries. She was a devoted friend to many over the years from the group homes she lived with.
Surviving is her devoted brother and best friend, John Lawson of Springfield and her extended family in Indiana.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, IL on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of a funeral service at 11:30 am. Pastor Joshua T. Traxel will officiate. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
