Sandra Kay Yount

Sandra “Sky” Kay Yount, 54, of Springfield, died at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2004 at her home. Sandra was born June 19, 1949 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Lyle L. and Nina Ferguson Yount. Ms. Yount was employed as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Administration Offices of Illinois Courts and owner of Skyworks. She was a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC) and she attended Springfield 1st Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her father; and step-father, Rocky Wenman. She is survived by son; Gary Esslinger of Covington, GA; mother, Nina Wenman of Dawson grandsons, John Esslinger of Springfield and Steven Esslinger of Covington, GA; sister, Debbie (husband, Bernie) Lornitis of Buffalo; brother, Gary (wife, Carol) Yount of Las Vegas, NV; life long friends, Betty Jordan of Dixon; Pamela Fatheree, Pat Price, Pamela Jacobs all of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 5 – 7:00 p.m. on Wed, January 28, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
