Sean Matthew Sharp

Sean was born on March 3, 1969, in Chicago, the son of William Lawrence and MaryAnn Sharp. He was the oldest of their three sons.

Sean found Christ at the age of 19 years old. He was an active member of the Way of Holiness Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Willie Mae Elliott. Sean attended Career Academy High School and Austin College. He enjoyed cooking, collecting gadgets, gaming, drawing, and having laughs with family and friends. Sean was a dedicated husband and father to his wife and children.

He was preceded in death by his wife and high school sweetheart, Charlene Sharp.

Sean is survived by his mother, MaryAnn Sharp of Coldwater, MS; two brothers and their spouses, Jabari and Latasha Sharp, and Jason and Cheryl Sharp; four children, Sean Sharp, Jr., Simone Yates, Matthew Sharp, and Gabriel Sharp; a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives; and special friend Suzette Lockett of Chicago.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
