

Sharon L. Marconi Grant Kincaid, 70, of Athens, passed away at 8:22 p.m. on February 28, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Sharon was born July 9, 1941 in Cantrall, the daughter of Fred and Ann Goleash Marconi. She married Donald Kincaid on August 10, 1979 in Springfield. Sharon was employed by GB Oil and KFC. She was vice president of the Taylorville Black Horse Pow-Wow and served on the board for the Rainbow Dancers. Sharon was known by her friends as being spunky, strong-willed, and loving. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets, and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Fritz, John, and Robert Joseph Marconi; and one sister, Ann Marie Lercher. She is survived by her husband, Donald Kincaid, of Athens; two sons, Robert (wife, Cyndi) Grant of Petersburg and Fritz Grant of Cantrall; three stepsons, Donnie (wife, Carlinda) Kincaid of Tecumseh, OK, Lyle (wife, Lisa) Kincaid of Ohio, and Tim (wife, Debbie) Kincaid of Athens; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Frank Marconi, Bonnie Falzone, Ginger Bart, and Betty Marconi all of Springfield, Beverly Marconi of Decatur; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 South 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Milton Crane officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
