She was born on April 18, 1939, in Springfield, the daughter of Vernon and Anna (Wetzstein) Hacke. Sharon married Alan J. Schilsky on June 22, 1963. He preceded her in death, in 2005.
Sharon graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, and later attended Fontbonne College. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Sharon enjoyed watching baseball games, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and loved flowers. Her relationships with her children and grandchildren were very important to her.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Verna Ann Kirby.
Sharon is survived by her children, Ann (Kregg) Argenta of Springfield, IL, Lois (Phil) Seck of Conroe, TX, Diane Kemp of Galesburg, IL, John (Angela) Schilsky of Westlake, TX, Stephen Schilsky of Southlake, TX, and Amanda Jo Schilsky of Southlake, TX; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering & Prayer Service: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 a.m., with Father Alex McCullough officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
