

Sherryl L. Musgrave, 78, of Springfield, passed away on October 21, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 5, 1947 in Madisonville, Kentucky to Lester Ashbrook and Elsie McGehee Ashbrook. Sherryl married Larry Musgrave on March 21, 1980 and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2022.
Mrs. Musgrave is survived by three children: Robert Fletcher of Florida, Katie (Dale) Aldrich of Rochester and Jennifer Henderson of Springfield, four step-children: Larry (Carmen) Musgrave Jr., of Missouri, Lori Dice of Florida, Chad (Marnie) Musgrave of Tennessee and Shannon Delfo of Florida, seven grandchildren: Mark Fletcher, David Ramirez, Payton Eller, Jillian Aldrich, Brandon Fletcher, Connor Henderson and Xander Henderson, two great grand children: Jaden Fletcher and Harper Goad, as well as many step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister Linda Williamson.
Sherryl attended Northwestern Illinois University-Chicago. She retired in 2013 from a long career as a dental hygienist. She kept in touch with her close girl friends from dental school and greatly treasured their friendship.
Sherryl enjoyed being with her family. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, they were her greatest joy.
Sherryl loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed the many road trips she and her husband took over the years visiting family and friends.
She was a faithful member of Lincoln Land Baptist Church in Springfield. She adored the ladies in the church, their Bible study time together and their group activities. She was selfless in that she gave of her time to care for and assist others.
Sherryl was a woman of deep and abiding faith, whose life was a testament to her love for God. We take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, and we will see her again!
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on October 31, 2025 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m.until the time of service at 12:30 p.m at Bisch West.
