Shirley Arnold

Shirley Arnold, 59, of Springfield, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at St. John’s Hospital. Shirley was born September 11, 1943 in Sheffield, England, the daughter of Frank and Helen Platts Middleton. She married Dick Arnold November 11, 1972 in Newmarket, England. Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker and was a member of the British Royal Air Force and Clementine Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: Dick of Springfield; three sons: Garry Arnold of Springfield, Brian Arnold of Fort Campbell, KY, and David Arnold of Springfield; one daughter: Angela Arnold of Springfield; two grandchildren: Hannah and Devon Arnold; two sisters: Ann Goodwin of Rotherham, England and Sue Langton, Newcastle, England; one brother; Keith Middleton of Sheffield, England; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Lay Pastor Sandy Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
