
Shirley Ann Caviness, 77, of Riverton, died at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Shirley was born April 3, 1935, the daughter of Miner Fordyce and Virginia Presock. She married Grady Caviness. Shirley received her high school diploma in 1965 and worked in retail. Shirley never met a stranger and did her best at everything she attempted. She was involved with the Eagles Club in Riverton. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them, especially at the holidays. She also loved to gamble on the horses and at the boat. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marlene Bennett; and step-son, Lloyd Caviness. She is survived by her husband, Grady Caviness of Riverton; two sons, Gralin (wife, Victoria) Caviness of Riverton, and Grady (wife, Lora) Caviness of Sand Spring, OK; three daughters, Regina (husband, Bradley) Allen of Richardson, TX, Sonja (husband, David) Yocum of Loami, and Michelle (husband, Raymond) Gann of Whitesboro, TX; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond (wife, Viola) Fordyce of Brave, PA, and Paul (wife, Sandi) Fordyce of Battleground, WA; two sisters, Mildred Johnson of Riverton and Grace Conklin of Waynesburg, PA; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
