Stephen Gerald Beverly

He was born June 18, 1981 in Springfield the son of Thomas Edward and Phyllis Jean Heckler Beverly. He married Jennifer Dawson. He was preceded in death grandparents, Elsie Heckler and Thomas and Juanita Beverly.

Steve was a graduate of Chatham Glenwood High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College. He earned certificates in Plumbing and Heating, Auto Body and Electrical Services. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours in Iraq. He was employed by Mike Williams Plumbing and Heating and United American Insurance.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Illinois Bass Anglers Club and Illinois Bass Federation. He was a passionate hunter and fisherman and loved to sing and play the guitar and dearly loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Shelby and Jayden Beverly; step children, Miranda,Dalton and Isabella Dawson; parents, Thomas and Phyllis Beverly; grandfather, Gerald Heckler; brothers, Dylan and Thomas J.(wife,Carmen) Beverly; sisters, Heather (husband, Jason) Konzelman and April (husband, Eric) Bridges; aunts, Nancy Schwermin, Joyce (fiance, Bill Peters) Padget, Cheryl (husband,Vic) Linderman, Liz(husband,Ron) Ott; uncles, Steven(wife, Connie) Beverly, Kenny(wife, Maureen) Beverly and Kevin Beverly; cousins, Michael(wife, Alissa) Schwermin, Jennifer(husband, Steven)Canny, Bradley Schwermin, Shane Padget, Eric, Ellen, Elliott and Evelyn Linderman, Amber McNattin, Gavin and Gabriel Schwermin, Kimber Linderman and Autumn McNattin,nieces and nephews,Katrina and Nathan Beverly, Keegan and Summer Bridges and Carly Konzelman.

Friends may call at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel Sunday May 17, 2009 from 3 to 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Monday May 18, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Clifford Hayes officiating.
