Stephen Dean Davis, 58, of Virden, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at his residence. He was born February 23, 1953 in Canton, IL, the son of Keith and Norma Danner Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Davis is survived by his son, Jeremy (Katy) Davis of Springfield, IL; sister, Debbie Vogt of Greenup, IL; and niece, Meggan Vogt of Greenup. IL; uncle, Max (Dreme) Davis of Edwards, IL; aunt, Analea Archibald of Hanover Park, IL; and several cousins. Formerly of Chatham, IL, he was a diesel mechanic for Laidlaw Transit in Springfield and formerly drove a semi for Swift Transportation. He loved to go fishing in his spare time and raced go-carts. No Service is scheduled. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Shriners Hospital for Children. Cremation rites were accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham.
