Steven Paul Crowell

Steven Paul Crowell, 31, of Springfield, and formerly of Chicago and Chatham, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011. The son of Richard Dale and Margaret Elaine Peyton Crowell, he was born in Elmhurst, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents: James and Louise Peyton and Renus and Julia Crowell. Mr. Crowell is survived by brothers Brian Fliflet of Chicago; Jason Fliflet (Marie) of Chatham; Christopher Crowell of Springfield; sister Megan (significant other Justin Rose) Crowell of New Berlin and Sarah Crowell of Springfield; nieces Ashly Fliflet of Chatham, Adilynn Rose of New Berlin, Alyssa Saichrovsky of Glen Ellyn and nephew Alex Fliflet of Chatham. He is survived by several half brothers and sisters:David Crowell, Danny Crowell and Michael Crowell; Kathy Saichrovsky and Susan Crowell and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Crowell graduated from Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois. He tended to flower bed maintenance in his mother�s business, �Freshstart Flower Beds�. Visitation will be held at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, Illinois on Wednesday, October 5, from 5-7pm. Funeral services will follow at Staab Polk Memorial Home at 7pm. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
