She was born on October 17, 1950 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Harry and Patricia Reed. She married John Pile on October 1, 1983 in Springfield, and he survives.
Susan worked in Medical Records for Springfield Clinic, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Besides her husband John, she is survived by her son John (wife Tara) Pile II of Gillespie, IL; a granddaughter Caitlyn Pile of Gillespie, IL; her brother Tom; and her Sister Donna, both of Springfield.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Nancy.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per her wishes cremation rites were accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
