Ted Seifert, 56, of Dawson, died at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Ted was born July 4, 1952 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of Robert Theodore and RoseMary Richter Seifert. He married Tricia Smith on February 22, 1975 in Oakford. Ted was a self-employed general contractor and renowned area homebuilder. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Tricia Seifert; a son, Travis Seifert of Springfield; a daughter, Teniel Seifert of Denver, CO; mother, RoseMary Seifert of Ocala, FL, three sisters, Caryn Seifert of Bremerton, WA, Cathy Martel of Polson, MT, and Chris Cavender of Clermont, FL; four brothers, Dan Seifert of Leonardstown, MD, Mike Seifert of Euless, TX, Bill Seifert of Springfield, VA, and Doug Seifert of Springfield, IL. Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Following the visitation a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Kirlin Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
