Terrence R. ''Terry'' McHenry

Terrence R. “Terry” McHenry, 24, of Springfield, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2002 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Terrence was born October 4, 1977 the son of John F. and Dorothy Wells McHenry in Springfield. Terry, a graduate of Ursuline Academy High School, had been employed by Pease’s Candy, Knights Action Park, Skateland South and his most current employer was Spillway Lanes Bowling Alley. He attended Lincoln Land Community College. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a member of Power House Gym. He bowled in several bowling leagues. He had a great enjoyment for guitars, skateboarding, inline skating and biking. He was a past member of the YMCA. He was preceded in death by his father: John “Jack” McHenry February 20, 2002; two grandfathers; one Uncle: Jim McHenry and one aunt: Delia Selvy. He is survived by his mother: Dorothy “Dot” McHenry of Springfield; one brother: Sean McHenry of Springfield two grandmothers: Dorothy A. McHenry of Springfield, Evelyn Wells of Taylorville and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2002. Visitation will begin with a wake service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2002 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Reverend William Kessler celebrant.
