Terry Blood

Terry was born on May 18, 1944, in Springfield, the son of Charles Kenneth Blood and Mary Grace Mitchell Blood. He married Cindy Williams on December 18, 2006, in Springfield.

Terry was a 1962 graduate of Glenwood High School and attended SIUC for two years. He retired after 24 years with the Air National Guard and as a contract writer for the State of IL. Terry was a member of Island Bay Yacht Club and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Blood of Springfield; his son, Tyler (wife, Jessica) Blood of Chatham; two daughters, Stacey Goldman of St. Charles, IL and Shannon (husband, John) Lochbaum of Sycamore, IL; stepsons, Barnett “Gary” (wife, Tami) Glisson III of Springfield and Matthew Thomas of Springfield; stepdaughter, Carey Ann (husband, John) Cox of Chaska, MN; six grandchildren, Calvin Blood, Abby and Emma Goldman, Ellie, Anna, and Johnny Lochbaum; one brother, Kenneth (wife, Sandy) Blood of Sycamore, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Springfield Bible Church, 2060 Westchester Blvd., Springfield with Rev. John Standard officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors by the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense.
