Theresa was born on October 26, 1927, in Springfield, the daughter of John and Teresa Marshall Joyce.
Theresa was an assembly worker for the Hobbs Division of Stewart Warner for 40 years. She was a pitcher for the Madison Furniture girls’ softball team in the mid 1940's. The team won four consecutive city league championship's during her time as pitcher. Theresa loved to travel, fish and attend car shows. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower. Theresa was a kind, faithful person, and very loyal to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Thomas, John, Lawrence, Joseph, and James, Sr.; and sister, Mary Agnes Shepherd.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Allen Kemme officiating. Private family burial will be held.
