

Thomas was born July 26, 1936 in Effingham, the son of Albert and Frances Goldstein Stuckey. He married Patricia Haarmann on April 22, 1961 in Effingham. Thomas graduated from St. Anthony's High School in Effingham and earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University. He served his country in the United States Army. Thomas was employed as the Chief of the Data Processing Division at the IL Dept. of Public Health until his retirement, and later worked as an IT consultant. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #364, and EIU Alumni Association. He enjoyed golfing, traveling with his wife, and wintering in Florida. Thomas lived life to its fullest and adored his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Stuckey of Springfield; his children, Jane (husband, Jim) Bachman, Greg (companion, Susan Cain) Stuckey, and Todd (wife, Peggy) Stuckey, all of Springfield; four grandchildren, Kyle Bachman of New Orleans, LA, Hannah (fianc, Greg Marantz) Bachman, Adeline Stuckey, and Eleanor Stuckey, all of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin, Phil Stuckey of Kirkwood, MO.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos St., Springfield.
Funeral Mass: 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Jallas, celebrant.
