

He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on July 4, 1947, the son of Thomas G. and Geraldine V. Wilson. Tom married his former wife, Paula Stropkai in Maynard, OH, in 1970.
Mr. Wilson was the lead singer of the West Virginia local band, The Rebels. He Joined the United States Army in 1966 serving a tour of duty in Vietnam. After the army he worked as a coal miner with Consolidated Coal in West Virginia and was moved to Illinois with Shell Oil in 1980. Later in life, he joined Landmark Ford where he was employed until his retirement in 2008.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas J. (wife, Rebecca) Wilson of Riverton, Jason (wife, Laura) Wilson of Sherman, and Jeremy Wilson of Riverton; six grandchildren; three siblings, Bette Ann Ponzo (husband, Ray) of Shadyside, OH, Dan Wilson(wife, Kim) of Villa Hills, KY, and Gerri Atkinson of West Palm Beach, FL; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will have a private celebration of life on July 4th. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
