Timothy D. Kuykendall, 67, of Springfield, died at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2008 at his residence. Tim was born February 25, 1941 in Springfield, the son of Charles and Coeleta Kuykendall. He worked for the State of Illinois for twenty-five years prior to his retirement in 1988. Tim was a Master Gardener, as well as a volunteer in the community and advocate of several causes. He is survived by several foster children; and a nephew and his family of Fort Collins, CO. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga V. F. officiating.
