He was born on May 24, 1962 in Springfield, the son of the late Wendell “Fizz” and Norma Faye (Seymour) Hocking.
He graduated from Lanphier High School in 1980 where he then went on to receive his Associates degree from LLCC, and his Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State. Todd most recently worked as a cook at Schnucks; prior to that, he worked at Contractors Lumber City and Halverson Construction. He was a former member of Wesley UMC and the 38 club. Todd enjoyed going to many concerts throughout his life, as well as listening to 80’s music in his spare time. He coached his daughter in several different sports including the Fairview Softball League. Todd enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and was also an avid sports fan; rooting on the St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, and LA Lakers.
Todd is survived by his daughter Ashley Faye Hocking of Springfield, his brother Trevor Hocking of Springfield, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield where visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 11 am. Pastor Donald Goodenow and Judy Donley-Henderson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Franklin City Cemetery, Franklin, IL.
