Vincent F. Petrie, 91, of Springfield, died at 3:08 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his home. Vincent was born May 30, 1924 in Portland, ME, the son of Frank and Silvia Pierotti Petrie. He married Josephine Giunta on August 10, 1944 in Lincoln, NE. Vincent earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maine in Mechanical Engineering. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Petrie of Springfield; his children, Mary Jo (husband, John) Cleland, Carolann (husband, Neil) Hanshaw, Frank (wife, Tracy Dickerson) Petrie, Donna (husband, Kim) Albright, Vince (wife, Cheryl Barton-Petrie) Petrie, and Christine (husband, Richard) Maiocco; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Private family ceremonies will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to: Memorial Home Hospice Services, 720 N.
