

Virginia C. Kaylor, 88, of Springfield, passed away at 5:46 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. John's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born September 19, 1924 in Carlinville, the daughter of Arthur Dwight and Eulalia Milligan Alkire. Virginia loved animals, gardening, crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and music. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Patrick Darling; two brothers, George and Theodore Hatmaker; and her best friend Iris Davis. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Darling of Springfield; Michael (wife, Shelley Voie) Darling of Washington; and three daughters, Maureen Cicola of MI; Cathy (husband, Tex) Darling-Muir of Springfield; and Judith (husband, Legh) Burns of Washington. She is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her cherished Chihuahua, Lisa Marie. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Dennis Darling officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
