

W. Robert "Bob" Hahn died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Decatur, IL, in 1924, the son of Arthur M. and Merle M. Hahn. Following his service in the Army Signal Corps during World War II, Bob graduated from Millikin University in Decatur. He then worked for Sangamo Electric, Williamson Press, City Water Light and Power, and S.P. Wright, all in Springfield, before founding W. R. Hahn Advertising, in which he remained active until very recently. Bob was also founder and CEO of Cisco Products, Inc., also in Springfield. Bob served as President of both the Ad Club and the Springfield Caps baseball team, and was a board member of the Sangamon County chapter of the American Red Cross. He was also a past president of the American Business Club in Springfield. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Jean; a daughter, Kerry; and a sister, Janice. Mr. Hahn is survived by his son, Brent (wife, Kim); grandsons, Lucas and Joseph; five cousins; one niece, Martha; and nephew, Sean. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 533 S. Walnut, Springfield with Rev. Julie Wells Blythe officiating.
