

William Bart, 76, of Springfield, died at 7:05 a.m., Wednesday, October 05, 2005 at his residence. William was born on October 29, 1928 in Auburn the son of Camille and Mary Hock Bart. He married M. Virginia “Ginger” Marconi in August of 1948 in Springfield. Mr. Bart was a coal miner for 43 years retiring at the age of 62. He worked in both Farmersville and Pawnee mines. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Eddie Bart and four brothers, Henry, Camille, John and Charles Bart. He is survived by wife: Mary Virginia “Ginger” Bart of Springfield; one son: Bill C. (wife, Judy) Bart of Marthasville, MO, four daughters: Gloria Davis (companion Charles Straub) of Palmyra, Janet (husband, Joe) Graves of Springfield, Judith (husband, Floyd) Thompson of Springfield, and Pamela (husband, David, who is serving in Iraq) Oller of Chatham; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers: Emil Bart of Greenview and Art Bart of Oakland, IL; two sisters: Irma Ziebel of Petersburg and Joan Boerio of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1305 Wabash, Suite J., Springfield, IL 62704. The family of William Bart is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
