Bill was born on April 19, 1933, in Springfield, the first born child of William T. and Alice Frances Ludwig Dalsin. He married Lillian Mae Sands on June 5, 1971, in Springfield.
Bill was born with a mind of his own and a very determined spirit. He grew up in Southwest Springfield and attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School, Cathedral Boys High School, and the University of IL. He loved all sports, especially football, golf, and boxing. He was an avid fisherman, and especially enjoyed fishing in Canada for walleye.
Bill had many jobs during his life, but ultimately found his true calling in sales at Bristol Laboratories. Following his marriage to Lilly, he developed an interest in real estate and they both obtained their licenses and began working side-by-side in Springfield and later in Naples, FL. He retired at age 75 and they became snowbirds for a while, even after Bill’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Bill was loved by most everyone who knew him and had a life well lived.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark W. Dalsin and George A. Moore; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lillian “Lilly” Mae Dalsin; two sons, Richard (Pam) Dalsin of Springfield and Jeffery (Leslie) Moore of Springfield; two daughters, Kathy Bramlet of Springfield and Mary Alice (Dr. Doug) Gerger of Bloomington, IN; 10 grandchildren, Kellie, Molly, Tavie, Reed, Abby, Mallory, Ashley, Melissa, Jesica, and Steven; four great-grandchildren; four siblings, Patricia (Dominic) Giacomini of Springfield, Martha (Larry) Mathies of Beverly Beach, FL, Marilyn (Jerry) Hoppe of Springfield, and Jerry (Judy) Dalsin of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
