

William "Bill" G. Everett, Sr., 75, of Sherman, died at 11:50 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. John's Hospice. Bill was born December 21, 1940 in Peoria, the son of Earl W. and Margaret Peplow Everett. He married Ruby M. Weller on April 4, 1960 in Springfield; she preceded him in death on November 19, 2013. Bill attended Woodruff High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce. He was employed with Henry Nelch & Son until his retirement after 30 years of service. Bill was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Riverton and was an avid donor to many veteran organizations. He enjoyed drawing, adult coloring books, and was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. He was also preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Anthony Everett. He is survived by six daughters, Cynthia (James) Padilla, Schellei (Roger) Klump, Jaque Bounds, Patricia (Skip) Klasinz, Krystal (Scott) Steiner, and Tammy (Rick) Putnam; two sons, William (Kathy) Everett, Jr. and Timothy (Theresa) Everett; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis, Betty (Bob) Bohm, Mary Powers, Earlene Martins, Valerie Everett, and Robert Everett; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Rev. Raphael Paul DeMoreno officiating.
