William C. "Bill" Peterman, III, born on March 14, 1943, peacefully left this world on Thursday, June 13, 2024, to join his beloved wife, who preceded him. A devoted father, he leaves behind cherished memories for his three children, Jacqueline, William IV, and John; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and rescue mini-poodle, Chuck.
William was passionate about life, finding joy in travel, tending to his garden, strategizing over chessboards, and creating intricate stained glass pieces. His retirement from the Monterey Coal Mine in 1998 marked the end of a dedicated career.
We invite all who knew him to join us in celebrating his life at Butler Funeral Home - Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, where a visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Funeral Ceremony will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
