William Ross Jackson, Sr., 67, of Springfield, died at 5:10 p.m. September 27, 2003 at St. John’s Hospice. William was born May 20, 1936 in Christopher, IL the son of Verl Henry and Lois Pearl Flowers Jackson. Mr. Jackson was employed a projectionist for various theaters for 32 years. He was a member and business agent for Springfield and Downstate Illinois for the Professional Projectionist Local #323. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by four sons: William R. Jackson, Jr., David R. Jackson, Michael J. Ross and Matthew R. Jackson all of Springfield; one daughter: Pamela (husband, Eric) Nelson of Springfield and five grandchildren. Remains were cremated. Private memorial services are planned. The family of William Ross Jackson, Sr. is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
