

He was born October 1, 1928 in Maunie, IL to Homer and Amy Williams White. Bill was orphaned at the age of three and raised by his brother, James. Bill played baseball for the St. Louis Browns as a young man then later served in the United States Air Force. He was employed by the United States Post Office as a carrier and retired after thirty-five years.
Bill married Pauline Geving of Springfield in 1986 and resided in Chatham at the time of his death.
Bill’s three greatest passions in his life included his family, golf and painting.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline; five children: Mari Lynn Garcia (John), Larry Geving, Jr. (Laura), Tim Geving (Kim), Sue Billington (Mike), Michelle Mayfield (Marlin); ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and extended family members: Florence Herring, Elizabeth Kingsley and Beth Kingsley.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Cremation rites were accorded.
In honor of Bill, donations can be made to the Springfield Art Association Scholarship Fund or Catholic Charities of Springfield.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 2pm-4pm at
St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in Chatham.
