Yvonne M. Hyatt

Yvonne "Von" M. Hyatt, 75, of Athens, passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her residence. Yvonne was born September 1, 1939 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Dominica Peroglio Putnam. She married James Hyatt on May 2, 1975 in Springfield. Yvonne was a 1957 graduate of Springfield High School. She was employed by IDOT for 35 years as an Executive Secretary. Yvonne was a talkative person who was young at heart. She loved her family and also had a love for animals. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, John, Jim and Bob Putnam. She is survived by her husband, James of Athens; two sons, Kevin Hyatt of Rochester, IL and David Kapshandy of Huntington, AR; three daughters, Diane (husband, Frank) Potter of Winchester, IL, Kerri (husband, Bob) Haws of Florissant, MO, and Robin Kapshandy of Springfield; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe (wife, Pam) Putnam of Springfield; and three sisters, Mary Roberts of FL, Marilyn (husband, Clifford) Hunter of Athens, and Carolyn (husband, Arthur) Inman of Peoria. Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Union Chapel Cemetery, Girard, IL, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
