

Born February 12, 1922 in Princess Anne, Maryland, Agnes Marie was the daughter of Norman E. and Mary Ellen Dryden of Princess Anne, Maryland in Somerset County where Norman Dryden was Chairman of the Somerset County Commissioners for 13 years. Mr. Dryden also was Sheriff and managed/ran the old stone house jail in Princess Anne which is still standing today.
Agnes Marie graduated from Washington High School in Princess Anne in 1938 and was a member of Antioch Methodist Church. She then went into Nurses training at Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing in Salisbury, Maryland and graduated with honors in 1942 as a Registered Nurse, State Board Qualified. She continued to work for 20 years at the hospital.
Agnes Marie leaves behind 3 sons, Clarence Edward Bayne, Jr. of Lake Ridge, Virginia, Norman Charles Bayne of Springfield, Virginia, Kenneth Dryden Bayne of Menlo Park, California; 2 daughters-in-law, Carol Bayne and Valerie Bayne; 8 grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Bayne, Chad Evan Bayne, Allison Marie Bayne, August Dryden Bayne; and Grace, Helen, Lily, and Honor, all of California; 1 sister, Loma Catherine Murray of Salisbury, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at the Fort Myer Chapel, Arlington, VA and Agnes Marie will be buried with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery.
