Alison E Grohman

Alison was born in Bonne Terre, MO to James and Evelyn Edwards on March 22, 1946, and soon moved to Long Island, N.Y. She went to school at Newfield HS in Centereach, Long Island. After high school, she attended Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y., where she met her future spouse, Howard Grohman. She married Howard “Stretch” Grohman on June 29, 1969, in Centereach, Long Island, N.Y. She graduated from New York Medical College with an associate’s degree in occupational therapy. Although holding many jobs throughout her life as a military spouse, she primarily worked as a real estate agent for Long & Foster in Burke, VA, for 32 years.

Alison was a dedicated spouse and loving mother who was married to husband Stretch for 56 years. She enjoyed playing golf, cooking, baking, sailing the Caribbean, and beach vacations.

Alison is preceded in death by parents, James and Evelyn Edwards, sister, Adrienne Erwood, and brother, Patrick Edwards.

Alison is survived by husband, Stretch Grohman, sons, Eric and Mark Grohman, brother James Edwards, grandson, Sean Grohman, and granddaughter, Kate Grohman.
