Clarence “Clem” Urban, of Springfield, VA passed away Thursday June 21, 2012. Beloved husband of Ethel V. Urban and devoted father of Clem (Lisa) Urban and Val (Benita) Urban. He is also survived by two sisters, Nettie Ginger and Florence Jones, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Urban, a brother Joseph Urban and a sister, Angela Bawiec. Born February 6, 1923 in Wilkes Barre, PA, Clem graduated from G.A.R. High School where he was active in swimming and diving. After serving with the US Navy in WWII on the USS Langley (CVS-27) and in Korea, he went to work for the Federal Government, retiring in 1993 as a programming and logistics manager. Funeral Services held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Columbarium of Arlington National Cemetery.
