

She was born in 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA, the only child of John and Dorothy Musala. They moved to the Northern Virginia area when she was very young, and she graduated from J.E.B. Stuart High School in 1971. She was in the first coeducational class of Rutgers University and finished college in three years. After working for a short time for what is now Deloitte, she entered government service, first with the District of Columbia government and then spent almost thirty-three years with the Federal Aviation Administration, before retiring in February of 2008.
She is survived by her husband of twelve years, Stephen Kaye, and her daughter from a prior marriage, Christine Osipchak. She will be missed.
Friends may visit at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA, on Monday, September 18, from 11:00 to noon, after which there will be a short service at Demaine. Interment will be immediately afterwards at Fairfax Memorial Park. She was a lover of animals.
