Don was devoted and loving to his wife of 24 years (Lisa) and his two children (Amanda and Ian). He will be sadly missed by his beloved parents (Don and Nancy) and his sister (Heather). He will forever be remembered by his extended family and friends.
Don retired from the U.S. Army in May 2022, after 30 years of dedication to his country. His service has included deployments throughout the world, including the conflicts in Bosnia (Operation Joint Endeavor) and Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn). Don was a well-decorated veteran with numerous medals and awards. Upon retirement from the military, Don was honored to accept a position at LMI, where he looked forward to starting his second career.
Don held a Masters in Business Administration, was a graduate of the Army War College, and held numerous certifications in program management. In his free time he enjoyed working on projects around the house and supporting his children’s passion and interests.
All friends, neighbors and coworkers of Don’s are invited by his family to share their fond memories of him during visitation at Demaine Funeral Home on Friday, August 18 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Additional memorial services will be held in Washington state at a later date.
