He lived in Mexico during his younger single years and became a fluent Spanish speaker. He travelled to Europe during the 70s and lived briefly in England with Maureen his first wife who was of British descent. They had two children Susan and Kevin born in Washington D.C. Always a hard worker whose first priority was to ensure his children were well provided for, Doug’s life was not always easy but he remained a loyal and dedicated father to his four children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all.
