She had been very active in her community for many years, as a Scout leader and as a volunteer in the Religious Education Department at St. Michael Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years as well as by six children, nine grand-children, one sister, and two brothers.
She will be remembered for her love of music and travel, study of languages, laughter, and devotion to her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Girl Scouts in her name.
