I only met Mr. Wickline a couple of times at the Wickline Thanksgiving in 1990. That's all it took to know he was a special man. Good man. My prayers for Mr. Wickline and all his family and friends. I believe another angel now watches over us.

God bless Elmer "Wick" Wickline!  I have fond memories of growing up near the Wickline's as a kid and Mr. Wickline was a great father. He was always fun to be around and loved his family.

Elmer & I shared a beach house (with about 18 others) for about 10 years about 25 years ago. Although I was fortunate to see him and spend an afternoon with him just a couple of months ago, I have seen him only occasionally since I got married and left the beach house.

Elmer was always a fun person to be with. Although he loved a good party and could be counted to know where one might be held, he was not known as a 'party-party type, but rather a relatively quiet person who observed what was going on, and could be counted on to rise to the occasion and have fun. The ladies.all loved him.

He will be missed as he joins his good friend and another great beach house member, Larry, in heaven.

My heart goes out to you all. I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

i am joan (alice) that was elmers half sister.  I remember all the great times elmer and i had with John his father and mine.  We use to have a shrimp boil every  Friday night without fail.  That is unless our father was out ofthe country.  Elner was a great individual and even though I havent seen him since our fathers funeral I always had him in our thoughts. My thoughts are with Elmer's family at this difficult time.  I was one of the beach house people and will always remember the good times we had at the beach over the years and Elmer was always right in the middle of the fun.  I am sorry I cannot be there for his service.

My condolences to you John and the entire Wickline family. My father-in-law passed away two weeks ago, so I know how difficult this is. When my mom passed away I recalled the scripture of when Lazarus died. Martha ran to greet Jesus and said "If you would have been here my brother would not have died." Jesus said to Martha, "I am the resurection and the Life. He who believes in me shall live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes im me will never die." Death has no hold on us. It is merely the true stairway to Heaven. God Bless you during this time.

I was one of the Dewey Beach kids.  The beach house people were a big part of my life as a teenager and Elmer was one who helped influence my decision to join the Navy.  I have fond memories of him and even though I haven't seen him in years, I am still thankful for Elmer's influence and remember him with affection and respect.  My thoughts and prayers are with Elmer's family.  He will be missed.

Wick and I had 4 great children..John, Lee, Bruce and Christian..Wick will live on through them..he loved his family, enjoyed their laughter, got a kick out of their lives..wanted to be apart of all!  Yes..he will be missed..he will leave a empty slot that no one could every replace.

Mr. Wickline thank you for sharing Thanksgiving Dinner with me. Chris and all of you are always my buds. As you guided them in life. I know you will always guide them forever in heart, soul, and memory. Bless you sir.

Sir you once welcomed me into your home for sharing Thanksgiving dinner. The love and kindness you gave to me has never been forgotten. You now watch over us as you watched over your family and now continue to watch for eternity. Your family always showed their love to me as well. Thank you for being such a wonderful father to me.  We could always speak to one another about anything, but always had a lot laughs.  I will miss you terribly.
