

Faustina was born in Accra, Ghana to Christine Yevu and Stephen Kyere on August 30th, 1961. She attended St. Rose’s and Ola secondary schools before graduating from the University of Cape Coast with a bachelor’s in education. She married Hammond J. Quist, Jr. on December 30, 1989 before relocating to the United States in 1991. She went on to receive two master’s degrees (at the University of Maryland and Hood College) before earning her PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She worked as an educator and administrator for Montgomery County Public Schools for more than 20 years before pursuing special educational consulting upon retiring. Faustina was involved in The Ewe Association of Washington D.C. Metro Inc., The Council for Ghanaian Associations in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area (COGA), and the Lepers Aid Committee in Ghana.
Faustina is preceded in death by her father and her youngest brother, Patrick Aglikpah.
She is survived by her husband Hammond Quist, Jr.; her children Sena Quist, Selorm Quist, and Donald Quist; her siblings Margaret Kyereh, Steve Williams, Lawrence Cofy Richards, and Harriet Owoo; and her mother.
A memorial service will be held between 12:00 and 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 3rd at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA.
