Gladys Marie Weber Kautzmann

Gladys Weber Kautzmann, 94, of Burke, Virginia, passed away on the morning of April 30, 2017, peacefully in her sleep.

The viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm on May 8, 2017, at Burke United Methodist Church.

Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, in Millersville, PA. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Demaine Funeral Home.

Gladys was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on June 20, 1922. She graduated high school from McCaskey High School and continued with collegiate-level classes at University of Alabama.

Gladys was married to William E. Kautzmann on February 15, 1942; they were married 50 years.

Gladys enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, staying active, and being a mother and grandmother. She held many career positions such as teacher, make-up artist, government employee, librarian, and advertising consultant. She was also an active, dedicated church member of Burke United Methodist Church.

Gladys is survived by her two children, Susan Ugoji and Pamela Young, and as well as her granddaughter Angela Chandler.
