It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, (Gloria L. Oliveira aka Ma), who left this world on May 26th at the age of 78. She was a woman of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Gloria was born February 22,1946 to Albert A and Mae C Thompson. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Education. After the death of her husband in 78, Gloria moved to Virginia where she made her permanent residence ever since as a special ed school teacher til she retired in 2010.
She was predeceased by her husband Daniel J Oliveira Sr, brother Albert Thompson Jr, Albert (hi-daddy) and Mae Thompson, she leaves behind son Daniel J Oliveira Jr (Hazel), daughter Candace Oliveira, Granddaughter Jada Bates, Grandson Nicco Oliveira and great granddaughter Jade Oliveira, along with countless nieces, nephews and friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
A graveside service for Gloria will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22032.
